Senryu

A couple of days ago, I was reading the Writer’s Digest and learned a new poetry style- Senryu. Senryu is similar to Haiku poetry in that writers’ are limited to three lines and must use 5-7-5 syllables. The only difference between the two is that Haiku poems usually talks about nature and Senryu poems’ subject is the human condition. I never heard about this style before, so I thought I’d try it out.
